FEAR 2.0

Content
I recently did a four-week online Bible Study focusing on what I call, the other "f-word” – Fear.
For so many of us, fear plays a huge role in whether we reach our potential or fulfill the God’s purpose for our lives. Sometimes we are afraid of big things, sometimes smaller. No matter what we are afraid of, we lose out on so much when we allow our fears to dictate our behavior and willingness to act.
God must have known that fear would be an issue for so many because the Bible has a lot to say about it. It can all be summed up by one simple verse. Deuteronomy 31:6 says, “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” HE WILL NOT LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKE YOU!
I started this Bible Study because I wanted that statement to make an imprint on the hearts and minds of those who joined me. Because the bottom line is, If GOD will never leave us or forsake us, then what do we truly need to be afraid of?
When we choose to hide behind fear, we can’t grow. We can’t fulfill our purpose and we aren’t living with faith in the fact that God will never leave us or forsake us. God made each and every one of us with a unique purpose in mind. How His purpose is fulfilled through me is most likely very different than how it is fulfilled through you. We all have a unique set of talents so instead of comparing ourselves to others or thinking about all the ways we could fail, we have to focus on all the ways we could succeed. We have to think about what could be lost if we don’t act.
There is no failure in doing.
Failure lies in neglecting to act. Failure lies in allowing fear to cripple us and doing nothing.
This is just the tip of the iceberg of the Biblical message on fear. There is so much there, in fact, that I have decided to do another online Bible Study on the topic so that we can dig deeper and confront our fears head on with Scripture.
I would love for you to join me!!
If you’re interested, please go HERE to sign up. I will be posting on a private Facebook group five days a week for four weeks and will ask you to participate by journaling and joining in the online discussion. The last study was incredible and I can only imagine what God has in store for us the second time around as we go deeper.
I look forward to seeing you there!
