Filling Your Cup

Being a good steward can be applied to many areas in your life, but the reason why I'm returning to the topic of good stewardship and how it relates to water is because while on a practical side, water helps with:
- sleep
- irritability
- weight loss
- cravings
- aches and pains
- headaches
- fatigue
- muscle strength and replenishment
- focus
- ..should I go on!?
BUT...water is not only important and crucial to our daily functions and life, but it's important to our bodies, plants, animals and all of creation. Our need for water is parallel to our need for Christ.
If we stop drinking water, your body and mind begin to think we need it less. The same thing goes for when we stop seeking God, we start thinking we need him less or think we didn't need it anyway or it "wasn't worth it."
Once we start drinking more water, our bodies begins to crave more water. We don't have to force it and shove it down our throats and fight to drink. It becomes a habit and becomes something that we look forward to that we know is good for us and it replenishes us. The very same thing happens when we seek start to seek God on our own. We become hungry for Him, we start to want more of Him and His presence and we start to make it a habit to make time for Him.
Just like with water, once you start drinking more of it, the more you do it, the more it becomes part of your every day life.
Instead of having to remind ourselves to keep drinking water, we can find easy, creative and fun ways to make it happen and it just becomes natural. I LOVE using this fun water bottle pictured above to help me stay on track!
Water helps everything move and function better, which is JUST like what seeking God will do!
