God's Love: How He Loves Us

Content
In scripture, Romans 5:8 tells us “God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Let that sink in.
He gave His only Son, for us… with all the sins continuously committed… He still did that. He loves us that much. But that’s not where God’s love ended. When Christ died, He then rose in spirit - the Holy Spirit - which was a gift given to us. So not only does He love us unconditionally, but He desires to gift us with immense opportunities [of love, joy, peace, prosperity, it’s endless].
But why is that so hard to believe?
Why do we question our identity of how He sees us?
The answer is the world.
Instead of seeking our worth in God’s word, we seek our worth by the approval and acceptance of others. We let their truth define us, rather than God’s truth. Though in good times, what people say of us may be charming, and bring posture to our ego. But as we are never perfect, we will fall from their expectations, and their opinions of us will change. With God, however, no matter how many times we fall short, His love never changes.
God created each one of us with a purpose, and He is determined to see that through. He is consistent in His pursuit to provide us with people, scripture, sermon, or song that brings us peace, comfort, and stillness. No matter the choices and sins we’ve committed, God does not give up on us.
His love is unconditional.
We must recognize that truth, and bring Him the pieces, so He can shape us into the person He created us to be.
