Mercy

My husband, Lee, turned 50 this year.
A lot of people might not think that’s a big deal, but as many of you may know, Lee has cancer. He’s younger than most people with his type of cancer, but the statistics say that you can live with it for about ten years. Those are the statistics and I’ve never been a fan of statistics.
Statistics are for average people who make average choices and we are just not like that.
God is proving that there is hope and that we can have a different outcome when we make the choice to trust Him. THAT is the true celebration!
Lee and I met just over ten years ago and while we have certainly gone and continue to go through hard time, God’s provision has been remarkable. That’s what God does. He loves us so much and He has promised to provide for us – giving us exactly what we need when we need it. God loves us in ways that other people can’t and He loves us when other people don’t. As a recovering approval junkie, that is huge! He has extended so much mercy and when we are seeking Him and trying to do what is right, HE WILL SHOW UP. He will show up in such a magnificent way. I know without a doubt that God predestined for Lee and I to meet. We met under horrible circumstances but nothing that we’ve achieved since we’ve met would be possible if we hadn’t. God provided what we needed, exactly when we needed it.
God promises that if we seek Him instead of our own glory, He will provide. And He does. When you can’t see a way He will make a way. He uses weird situations and hard situations to show up and turn things around. Just watch!
